Event Details

Katastro formed in 2007 in Tempe, Arizona by Andy Chaves (Vocalist) Andrew Stravers (Drummer) and Tanner Riccio (Guitarist). Later on Ryan Weddle (bassist) joined the band to complete the current lineup.

Katastro gained a quick following by creatively blending elements of rock, funk, blues and hip hop. The release of No Mud No Lotus helped widen their fan base and has been their most successful album release to date. The album has received over 1.5 million plays and their hit single, Runaway has over 1,036,000 plays and 35,000 downloads on SoundCloud.

There is no sign of the band slowing down anytime soon as they recently signed with LAW Records, which is owned and operated by the members of the music group Pepper. Katastro just completed recording their new album, “Strange Nights” which was produced by Kaleo Wassman (Pepper) and Mike Sutherland and will be released September 30th.

The first single off the new record is titled,

“Waste The Night” and features Jared Watson of the Dirty Heads. Katastro’s first release was their 2007 EP entitled,

“The Wonderful Daze” and was followed by their 2008 release, “The Facts.” In 2009, Bob Hoag (The Ataris, The Format, Gin Blossoms) produced the EP “Poking Holes in A Pattern” and in 2011 released their 4th studio album “Gentle Predator.” Katastro’s most recent release was their 2014 album “No Mud, No Lotus” which features their highly acclaimed song, “Runaway.”

The Holdup is a California based Reggae band with heavy influences in the genres of Hip Hop and Pop. The group has released five full-length albums to date, all of which were written and produced by frontman Mike Garmany. Since releasing their debut album, Stay Gold, the band has garnered a great deal of commercial success and moved on to sell tens of thousands of records nationwide. Stay Gold debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae charts and the single “Good Times” was on rotation at a number of college radio programs and the coveted mainstream San Francisco station, Live 105. Every album from The Holdup since then has found the band reaching a new milestone. From 2010’s Confidence topping the iTunes Reggae chart and leading the band to receiving iTunes’ Best New Reggae Artist of 2010 award, to 2011’s Still Gold peaking at #2 on Billboard’s reggae chart. Their heavy urban appeal has even led to features on Mac Miller’s “MostDope” blog and 2 Chainz’ “Most Expensivest Shit” video series presented by GQ. When the band first began performing their original songs at local venues around San Jose, a fan base quickly developed for their catchy multi-genre delivery. The success of their live show and the growing popularity around album sales and radio play found them performing and touring with a number of amazing artists. From Reggae mainstays like Collie Buddz and Steel Pulse, to the more mainstream side of things with Rebelution, Dirty Heads and Iration. They’ve even shared stages with the likes of 2 Chainz and Rae Sremmurd.
